Registered General Nurse, Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, and experienced Rehabilitation Case Manager
I'm Chris, and as well as being a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, I am Registered General Nurse with clinical experience spanning A&E, flight nursing, forensic settings, and occupational health. I am also a Registered Case Manager in brain injury and catastrophic injury rehabilitation. 25+ years of clinical experience have given me a deep understanding of how our brains make us feel and behave the way we do and given me a grounded, practical and empathetic approach to helping people.
As a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, I combine evidence based therapeutic techniques with what I've learned from years of supporting people through recovery and change. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, stress, chronic pain, sleep issues, IBS, phobias, burnout, a life changing event or if you'd like to boost your confidence or stop smoking, my approach is collaborative and respectful, gentle and relaxing. We will work together, at your pace, to help you move forward.
I work both online (nationally and internationally) or face to face from my dedicated therapy space in Hastings, East Sussex. Sessions are structured, clear, and focused on what matters to you. We won't rake over old ground, instead looking forward and finding solutions to help you move forward and realise your true potential.

Maximise your potential through Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and coaching
The cornerstone of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) and coaching is having a clear understanding of what you want to achieve. Spend time reflecting on your goals. Are you looking to reduce anxiety, quit smoking, improve your confidence, reduce pain or achieve a specific professional milestone? Having a well defined objective will guide your sessions and keep you motivated.
This therapeutic approach emphasises solutions rather than delving into problems. Instead of exploring the origins of your issues, we'll focus on what changes you can make and what steps you can take to move forward. This shift in perspective can be empowering and energising.
Visualisation is a powerful tool in hypnotherapy. Picture yourself achieving your goals in vivid detail. What does success look like? How do you feel once you've achieved it? Regularly visualising your success can rewire your brain to recognise and seize opportunities that lead you towards your desired outcomes.
Between sessions, practising self hypnosis can reinforce the work we do together. If you have signed up for sessions with me, you will be provided with a sleep relaxation mp3 for this very purpose. Revisit the positive suggestions and visualisations from your sessions to keep your subconscious mind aligned with your goals.
Change can, but doesn't always happen overnight. It's important to maintain a positive attitude and be patient with yourself. Celebrate small victories along the way. Each step forward, no matter how minor it seems, is progress.
Consistency is key in SFH. Regular sessions help maintain momentum and provide ongoing support. Schedule your sessions at intervals that keep you engaged and progressing without feeling overwhelmed.
Honest and open communication is crucial. Share your thoughts, feelings, and any difficulties you're experiencing. This allows me to tailor my approach to your specific needs and ensure that you're getting the most out of your sessions.
The insights and strategies you gain during SFH or coaching sessions should extend beyond the therapy room. Integrate these learnings into your daily routine. Practice mindfulness, positive affirmations, and the new behaviours we've discussed. This integration will really help cement your progress and help create lasting change.
While SFH can be incredibly effective, it's important to recognise when you might need additional support. Don't hesitate to reach out to support groups, friends, or other professionals if you encounter significant challenges or setbacks.
Finally, remember that personal growth is an ongoing journey. Stay curious, keep learning, and continue to seek ways to improve your well being. Embrace the process and enjoy the transformation.
SFH and coaching can unlock your potential and help you achieve your goals. By following these tips, you can maximise the benefits of your sessions and set yourself on a path towards lasting positive change.
